This week, Grant is ranting about image bait, those enticing or sensational images that reel visitors in but fail to back up those images with relevant content. While image bait can drive clicks and visitors to a site, the overall value of image bait is cancelled out by high bounce rates from visitors who jump ship after realizing that the content doesn’t quite match their intent. Without any long term SEO value, image bait is one strategy to toss back into the sea.
