This morning Twitter is offline!
I can just imagine the thousands of regular “Tweerps” going through withdrawal symptoms as they unwillingly make status updates on their Facebook accounts bemoaning about Twitter’s apparent disregard for their desire to post about their breakfast (or in the UK, their ‘tea’.)
Quick! Call customer service! Demand a refund! Write a letter to your Senator!
Wait a minute… Twitter is a free service. Gratis. No support (to speak of). No phone number for a representitive in India to assist. No service agreement. Nada.
So what’s a Tweerp to do?
Write a blog post about it, of course.

Grant,
Just in case you’re wondering what I’m up to RIGHT NOW – I’m responding to your posting. When I see Twitter go back up, I’ll let you know on Twitter.
All the best,
Ted
I totally missed it! Twitter went down pretty early in the morning Eastern time, so I was still fast asleep. The site was quite sluggish all day though as they recovered, and there are still a lot of problems with the API tools for applications, and those doing research. Doh!
Facebook
Ha! Yet another reason I have avoided the Twitter frenzy. Do you think the 67% churned users last month realized?
